It’s been quite a year and despite my very best intentions, I let this blog go to the wayside. It’s not without good reason, I promise. I have mentioned before, over this past year, I have been working to start a local grocery store in my city- Fredericksburg, Va. It’s been a labor of love (and a little hate at times), but we finally opened the doors in June and are going into almost of month of operating. It has been difficult, exciting, encouraging and so many more adjectives than I can put into one blog post. But one big thing I came to realize is that people are continuing to look for resources to make their lives work.
I wasn’t sure if I would come back to Cake Cooks Gluten-free because of my horrible time limitations but the other day I had a customer come in and was looking for recommendations on going grain-free and if there were any good recipes. “Well….” I said, “I have stacks of books right here and there are so many blogs online that contain so much wonderful stuff to help you transition.” She asked if I personally did anything like that. I smiled a bit and said, I actually do- I have a blog called Cake Cooks Gluten-free which I talk about my whole journey back to health, living and eating gluten-free and paleo. It was then that it occurred to me that I have do have a commitment to folks that I talk to on a daily basis to keep moving forward, sharing reviews, recipes, stories and testimony because my journey doesn’t just help me, but so many others.
I will be linking over to my store page Kickshaws Downtown Market and sharing things here on the shop page and vice versa. Cake Cooks will always remain as a source for AIP (Autoimmune Protocol) diet resources, recipes and reviews. But with both pages I can share many amazing resources and information that not only help me but many others as well.
Thanks for sticking with me in this big transition.
